Details

Review of the Bid Response Process

This is a short review, of approximately 5-10 days in duration, of how an organisation tackles responding to a competitive tender opportunity.

It addresses:

  • Mapping out the process
  • Determining roles and responsibilities within the process
  • How the Bid Response process interfaces with other key business processes, eg Sales
  • Review against 'best practice'

Typically this review involves a number of structured interviews and facilitated workshop sessions involving all levels within an organisation.

Benefits

From the review an organisation will be given an action plan which will help them become more effective and successful when responding to such opportunities.

Bid Documentation Review

Based upon our experience of running competitive tendering processes for clients we offer to act as 'an intelligent customer' for bidders during the creation of their response document.

For each intervention, ie a document review meeting, we would require 1-2 days of pre-preparation, in order that we understand the customers requirements:

  • Basic research into the customer organisation
  • Review of their Request For Information (RFI) and/or Invitation To Tender (ITT) documentation

Benefits

The benefit of our participation in the process is that we understand what the customer is requiring, based upon our experience, and can view all documentation in a detached manner rather than trying to 'force fit' what a bidding organisation may think the solution to be. This results in a document that better meets the customer need and thus enhances its chances of success.

In addition to intervention on an ad hoc basis, we are also happy to consider becoming more involved in the entire bid creation process if this is more appropriate.
