Technical Support - Specifications & KPI Development

NHS

Issue

NHS South Central SHA - representing 24 Trusts - was looking to out-source all procurement and supply chain activities across ca. £700m of spend. As part of the OJEU tender process (a Competitive Dialogue) it was necessary to develop a series of output based specifications to aid the ensuing discussions and subsequent contract drafting.

Solution

I provided technical input - in respect of defining service specifications and KPI, and also in relation to aspects of the procurement process - for the tender documents being used during the procurement process by the Integrated Supply Chain project.

Benefits

  • This project is looking to transform the procurement and supply chain arrangements for all Trusts, within NHS South Central, with a target of delivering in excess of £200m of net cash releasing savings over the life of the contract.
